We’re all
high right now.

Myths about cannabis are as old as the hills. It’s high time we set the story straight and smash the stigma around a plant with so many wonderful properties.

Why now? Well, more and more people are noticing some enchanting changes in their lives since adding cannabis to their routines. But some still have some lingering misconceptions. It happens to the best of us, but it’s important to keep learning, no matter our age!

Cannabis got you curious?

Darn right,
it’s a gateway.

One thing we weren’t prepared for in our older years is the shift from a rainforest to a desert. Then we did some research and learned the thing we were taught would turn us into burnouts actually helped us slide back into our old ways. And while it might not be for everyone, we’re certainly feeling randier.

Will cannabis send me down a road of shady, moral depravity?

Can cannabis actually help make sex more enjoyable?

Speaking of spending time between the sheets, can cannabis help me sleep?

Will cannabis send me down a road of shady, moral depravity? • Can cannabis actually help make sex more enjoyable? • Speaking of spending time between the sheets, can cannabis help me sleep? •

  • Nope! It was a common myth that cannabis is a gateway drug. Studies have shown that’s simply not the case, but it can open the floodgates door to some more quality time in the bedroom.

  • We’re not pulling your leg when we say cannabis can have a positive effect on your sex life. It has the potential to help with relaxation, increase your sex drive and make female orgasms more powerful. There are even products, like personal lubricants, that are designed with sex in mind. Giddy up!

  • Tired of counting sheep? Certain cannabis products formulated for sleep have been shown to help people fall asleep sooner, wake up less, and manage sleep disorders including insomnia.

Dirtbag?

That’s me.

I got our house in the divorce (shove it, Albert), but revenge was less sweet when my creaks got in the way of my gardening. Out of spite, I tried Albert’s worst enemy, and just like everything else in our marriage, he was dead wrong about it. It’s no downward spiral, it’s a gardening lifesaver that brought my planting groove back. Now then, anyone want a gently-used sports car?

Will cannabis turn me into a hardened criminal?

•

Will cannabis give me a green thumb?

•

Can I grow my own?

• Will cannabis turn me into a hardened criminal? • Will cannabis give me a green thumb? • Can I grow my own?

  • Nope! Over the years, there’s been plenty of lies telling us that cannabis was only used by the worst of society. Cannabis is now used by all sorts of folks; from pro-athletes and small business owners to gardening retirees and CEOs, today’s ‘stoners’ just don’t fit yesterday’s stereotype.

Oh, and just so we’re on the same page, nobody should be in jail for cannabis. Nobody.

  • It won’t help if you’re underwatering your plants, but if crouching in the garden is causing some inflammation and pain flare-ups, high-CBD cannabis may offer some relief.

  • In some states, it’s legal to grow your own green, but sadly, it’s still illegal in others. Consult local government resources for which states it’s legal to grow cannabis in, learn about any restrictions, and read up on the difference between growing for medical and adult-use.

Me?
A loafer?

You know it.

They told us it would make us unsuccessful and lazy. And you know what? I do like a snooze on the couch after walking 18 holes! How’d I ditch the cart and switch to walking? Easy, I did some reading, talked to friends and found a little something special that works for me.  So call me lazy if you want, but I’m clocking 19,000 steps before I grab some afternoon shuteye.

Will cannabis make me too lazy to crush my son-in-law in match play?

•

Can cannabis help me make par?

•

Can pro golfers use cannabis?

• Will cannabis make me too lazy to crush my son-in-law in match play? • Can cannabis help me make par? • Can pro golfers use cannabis?

  • Nah. The lazy stoner myth is one of the oldest lies told about cannabis consumption. You can still show him who’s the champ.

  • If inflammation, aches and pains are getting in the way of a decent scorecard, there’s potential for high-CBD cannabis to offer some relief.

Now if it’s your short game that’s holding you back, we’d recommend looking into lessons.

  • It’s good enough for the pros! In 2018, CBD—a prominent cannabis compound—was removed as a banned substance by the World Anti-Doping Agency. Since then, other athletic leagues have begun to allow cannabis with THC and other cannabinoids for recovery and more!

Plus, it can take your golf watching game to the next level.

Hell yeah,

I’m hooked.

Sure, like you, I was hesitant. I’d been fed the idea that it would turn me into a cold-blooded killer or a basement-dwelling couch potato. But then I got the facts, did some sampling and wouldn’t you know it, my sunset strolls have never been brighter.

•

How long until cannabis turns me into a couch potato?

•

Can cannabis add some pep to my daily strolls?

•

Am I allowed to light up on a walk?

• How long until cannabis turns me into a couch potato? • Can cannabis add some pep to my daily strolls? • Am I allowed to light up on a walk?

  • Ah, the old burnout myth. No, cannabis doesn’t chip away at your motivation. In fact, some people use it for quite the opposite of lounging: exercise. A recent study showed that 80% of cannabis fans sampled used it while working out!

  • Noticing your walks becoming a bit tougher than they used to be? You’re not alone and do not fret! New research into minor cannabinoids like CBG have shown to help enhance pleasure and motivation, meaning strutting your stuff could be more of a breeze with a bit of green. Dip into a dispensary to learn more!

  • Cannabis laws differ from state to state. If you’re looking to toke in public, check your local regulations; public consumption isn’t legal in all states that have legalized cannabis, like New York.

Got more questions?

  • Nope! You may have heard of microdosing, which means that you only consume a bit of cannabis and so the psychoactive effects are milder – effects depend on potency, quantity/dose, and cannabinoid contents.

  • Cannabis can interact with certain medications. The best person to talk to about this is your pharmacist who should have a clear picture of any and all medications you’re on. If you’ve got prescriptions at multiple pharmacies, collect the full list to talk to a pharmacist.

  • Start low, and go slow. It’s best to ease into whatever format you’re most comfortable with. If you have questions about what products and formats will be a good fit for you, you can visit a dispensary and chat with the staff there. It’s their job to know all about their stocked products and they can help you kickstart your cannabis journey.

  • The biggest difference is who can purchase it. Medical cannabis requires a certificate or prescription, while adult-use cannabis is for anyone 21 or older – all you need to do is flash your ID to prove you’re of age!

  • Cannabis is not legal federally, but thankfully, it’s legal for medical and/or adult-use across some states! Check out our handy map by clicking here.
